Though priced within the segment range, the tata Curvv base variants are expected to be costlier compared to its rivals. Although features offered at the base variant may differ. The pricing for the EV option of the Tata Curvv will differ from its ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) options and are expected to be costlier.

The lunch event of Tata Curvv is all set to take place on 7th August.

DESIGN: - The Curvv shares a lot of front design features with Tata Nexon and Safari on its first look impressions. However, it becomes distinctive as soon as the viewer reaches its sides and rear end. Being the first curved coupe type SUV design in the segment, Tata has done a great job with it. This design may find trouble competing with other SUVs in regards of headroom and space. Citroen Basalt, an upcoming launch by Citroen in this segment also featuring the SUV-coupe type design will be launched later in the month of August, 2024.
SAFETY: - Five-star BNCAP-rated SUV.
More details about the tata Curvv safety features will be revealed soon.
RIVALS: - Once launched, the Tata Curvv will compete against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos , Maruti Grand Vitara, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Its design rival will be the Citroen Basalt, which is also a coupe SUV based on the same segment as the Tata Curvv. Basalt is expected to be launched soon after Curvv's launch.
CONCLUSION AND CARACK BREAKDOWN: - The much awaited Curvv finally comes to a launch in a few days. We have high hopes from Tata for their Curvv product. They have achieved great success in the compact SUV segment with its Tata Nexon and Nexon EV and Tata has high hopes from this product as well. We feel Curvv will be appreciated for its design and looks along with its features.
With its gearbox options of 6 speed manual and DCT Automatic transmitting the power of 1.2 litre or 1.5 litre Engine, Tata Curvv could prove to be a fun to drive car. The base level price of the car is more than it competitors although its performance against them in the market also depends on what it offers in the base variants.
The Indian markets having a high demand currently for SUVs might be in favor of the Tata Curvv. The car is expected to do well in the markets if it offers everything expected. Although it would be a challenge for Tata to compete with King of the segment, Creta doing very well in this segment since years and having built facelifts over customer reviews and market responses over time. Curvv being a new launch, will have to compete against the already created customer base by rivals like Seltos and Creta along with good space offering cars like Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyyrider which also offers great mileage in its hybrid variants. Tata also has an upper hand for Curvv with it being the only model of the segment to come in a fully Electric option. With so many possibilities, The question stands: Will Tata curvv be able to compete in this segment and beat the others to be the king of the Mid Size Suv segment?
